Question Textures in Adobe photoshop 7.0?(need quick answer please)

I downloaded textures, and saved them under presets-textures

Did I do this right because I cannot figure out how to find and use them at all...All I see is patterns. I use adobe photoshop 7.0

I think I am right in saying that they will be under the brush tool (I dont use textures that I know of)

Click the top brush tool arrow, drop down box shows, on the drop down box there should be a little arrow pointing to the right at the top left of the box.

Then a menu should open and you click load brush this should show the textures that you have loaded I think the textures are the same as the photoshop brushes and will work for all the paint and textures

Hope I am right if so please say if not also say and I will look again, also you dont have to save then within the program files for photoshop you can save them anywhere and select them to use as it then transfers the textures / brushes to the photo shop program folders for the textures or brushes

They are not a Paintbrush file. They are jpeg files.... you I just define a new pattern? I am confused, I looked in my book and everything that has to do with textures are pattern files. not texture files.

Well I was just playing around and I found this, open the image in photoshop and click on Edit > Define Patern... I clicked that and it gave me the opetion to save it and name it.

I think that is what you need to use to make a textures.

Yeah I think so! I will check tomorrow with someone on another forum who dies tons of graphic things, I know she uses textures, and if she tells me something different I will let you know.
