Tip 1 - Use a reference
If you see a template you like use it as a guidline to how you are going to plan yours

Tip 2 - unique
do unqiue designs dont copy others try something that has not be done

Tip 3 - Content
Create content that purely relates to your website dont fill it up with non relevant things to your website focuz on the desired cirteria

Tip 4 - Graphical elements
Any Graphics that you use on the website should always support the content .


Tip 5 - Be HTML-compliant
Follow the proper HTML standards and check whether your website is HTML-compliant, to make sure that your website is displayed correctly in all browses.


Tip 6 - File size
Make sure that your site is quick to load in any browser.

Tip 7 - Colorsheme
Use a colorscheme of matching colors. stay away from loud colours

I do not like tip 7. Sometimes you need colors to stand out. Mainly on black and grey backrounds. But all the other six tips are good in my opinion

Tip 5:
Should i be well versed in HTML? (I dont know head and tail of it... )
I use Microsoft frontpage to do my HTML stuff. What do you comment on that?

@ shooter i think loud colors hurting eyes and may forced me to close the page before take even one look i don't know if you agree with me or not but i hope you like most of these tips

@baazi i think we all learning about websites i'm still beginner too but i make lots of searches to find out all about it
