Email marketing questions

Email marketing is it a good thing, I have never looked into it and would like to know some answers if anyone knows them.

1. Is it not spamming?
2. How would I start?
3. Would it work for a forum or blog?

And any other tips or information you might have about it, thank you.

Email marketing is not good think anymore, because to much spam mails.

Well, we all know how it feels to open your inbox and see a lot of mail from companies and "people" offering this and that. I guess e-marketing can be good if you're an exisiting customer and you like keeping up to date on the ins and outs of whatever company it is. Most of us don't like the hassle though. It's the mentality that we love to buy and find out things when we're ready. If someone tries to sell it to us or stuff it in our inbox, we get a little defensive. That's my two-cents

Mail marketing is only good if you have the permission to mail the recipients of the message. One good email marketing technique is using newsletters where people sign up to receive information about your updates and news; that way you won’t be spamming and you are providing your visitors with something they want to read and are interested in, since they signed up for it.

Spamming is bad and it will build you a bad reputation. Don’t go for it

I look at it as spamming and i no my junk box is full of them that i will just go in a delete every now and then.

The first time you send them it might be good as people will always look if they get to see them without them going in the junk box, but after the first one they will mostly all go in the junk box

the days have past with email marketing sorry
