Transfer of domain name

I am not happy with my registrar because XYZ, and I want to transfer my
domains somewhere else.

I have registered one domain .com for 10 years and one domain .eu for
one year, will I usually lose the time I have already paid for in
advance if I transfer them?

Good question - but no, you won't lost the time you've already paid for.
It's safe.

And, as a bonus, some registrars (GoDaddy, for instance) even add a free
year to your existing registration term for you when you transfer your
domain to them.

It's very easy to transfer a domain, usually just takes a few days.
