Default Anyone got a multilingual pictures site?

I have a UK-based client asking how they can get more foreigners to
visit their photo for sale site. Um. My immediate response is that
they should have foreign language versions of the site, example.de
etc. as people will be searching using keywords in their native tongue
and I don't believe one site can serve all men in that regard. You can
only name a graphic once and if it's called blue-widget.gif it can't
be called le-widget-blue.gif at the same time.
Any thoughts, anyone?

Hi Bill

This may not be what you want but assuming that the actual image name is the
same and all you want to do is display a title, text or alt text in the
relevant language then:

Write the page in php or asp and dependant on language include the relevant
array of titles & text.

e.g in php something like

<?php
switch($_REQUEST['language'] {
case '1' // english
include('english.php');
break

case '2' // german
include('german.php');
break

etc
}
?>

Similar in asp

Email me for more info if required: vgr at vhsholdings dot com

It's actually in .aspx, Vance, so that's a plan. I'll email you.
