| how to move emails ? I am thinking of moving my site from one hosting company to another. I am told that I cannot move the web based mail that I have and that I will lose all my emails. Is this true ? Can anyone pls suggest how this can be done, if at all ? Thanks Ayesha Hill | |||

But, if your email provider gives you POP access (ask specifically for POP access), then you have a lot of options: 1. The best thing you could do is to download all your emails to free Google's Gmail. In Gmail, go to Account settings and add your existing POP account details and voila - you are all set. 2. You can also create multiple personalities in Gmail so that your sent email will have your domain data. 3. Gmail provides up to 2GB of data and also allows POP3 access. This means you can use a local email client (like MS Outlook or Outlook express - my preference is free Thunderbird and there are other free email clients as well). 4. This means that you can keep your emails archived in Gmail, use your local email client for immediate access - best of both worlds. If you need more help, email me at: info at adinxight.com - I will be happy to guide you through this ...and if you need a gmail account, email me. Best of luck...
