I was reading Scott and Viper's fascinating comments in another thread (and have pasted some of them above). I am helping build a dating/community type site for someone. It is a niche local market - so I am aware of the argument against such sites (i.e. there are already zillions of them). The site will have blogs, a forum, and an instant messenger facility. But I was wondering if anyone had ideas for further 'adding value' to such a site?

Who will it be specifically targeted to? There are christian dating sites and dating sites for geeks and for millionaires................................ So what group of people is your site going to be targeted towards?
