missing desktop icons

Hi everyone!

When I opened my computer, all except for the 3 main icons were
missing from my desktop. Does anyone know perhaps why this could have
happened and where I might be able to look on my computer to restore
them?

I did not erase them intentionally - they were just gone this morning.

Also - does anyone know what this means?

I took then. I'll return them to you when I no longer need them. Shouldn't be
mors than 3 or 4 days.
