Something like: RewriteCond %{HTTP_COOKIE} !PHPSESSID This might slightly reduce server load. -- Toby A Inkster BSc (Hons) ARCS http://tobyinkster.co.uk/ Geek of ~ HTML/SQL/Perl/PHP/Python/Apache/Linux

When I serve the image I verify that the difference between now and the session var (timestamp) is less than n seconds (30, for now). This way the ability to load the image some other way (hot link) will automatically expire in a "very reasonable" amount of time. But, it also means that I need to set the var every time. My guess is that my site is not high volume enough to make it necessary to worry about server load. -- ***************************** Chuck Anderson • Boulder, CO *****************************

A little of my "OCD" is kicking in here ô¿Ô¬ It's a hobby, but I'm learning how to control access to images on my site. The myspace'ers, livejournal, and all other sorts of hot linkers seem to like my images - a LOT. -- ***************************** Chuck Anderson • Boulder, CO *****************************
