| MK Moderator ![]() | They are plenty of really good ones out there, but I can't think of any URLS off the top of my head. I don't have that much of a problem with them, although often they tend to be too "flashy", overdo the sound bytes, and can be pretty hard to navigate. It can also be an issue for people who don't have Macromedia Flash installed. Generally I would recommend webmasters to avoid building their websites in Flash. It can also be pretty troublesome to update if you're not using a database.. | ||

| Member Level 3 | Flash websites are great... problem is sometimes, they ignore the usability of the site itself and tend to focus on the shimmers. I think it would be better to have just a combination of both HTML and Flash, with HTML as layout and Flash for the... flash. | ||

| MK PitStop Member | MK, if you are making a flash website to showcase cars, that is a good idea. It will be like watching a presentation, which anyway is what it really will be and what Flash is for. If a user doesn't have Flash player installed, it is easy to do so. All you have to do is provide a link. | ||

| Member Level 3 | Suppose I wanted to make a full flash website with 3D elements in. Do you guys have plugins to make those 3D elements? Or do you do them with a third-party software? I'm very impressed with some websites with the modern tech feel of navigation. Also, I've had this idea of a spinning cube on top of a website that acts as a navigation, with each side having some navigation details and a hotspot button to go to the described location. the cube can be spinned around via handles. Can this be done in Flash itself or do I need plugins for this? | ||
