Hello

I have not used PHPBB before so I am really sorry if this is a silly
question.

I have a project with many folders. in fact the project is a PHP CMS and
each folder is a "website". Each website potentially might want to have a
forum (using PHPBB). Do I have to duplicate the phpbb scripts and database
for each folder or can I just install on my CMS folder and will PHPBB be
able to manage many forums independently ?

Zoe

you might not want to mix users among the websites, allowing users to
login to different forums might cause a problem for your users or you.
I personally think that separation is best, it wont be a strain on the
database management server, have a few more databases might aid you in
the long run.

I haven't tried the newer version 3 yet, but sounds like you can probably manage
multiple forums and styles from one installation. I remember the program had a
number of registration and moderation options so you can probably manage users
with that.
