| Member Level 1 | Good day all: Using .NET I can place a file in the root directory of a site that will be called every time a page on the site is called - so it can contain site wide application variables. Is there something similar for PHP? Thanks

| Back Office Guy- ![]() | some php define a constant, use an include file(bootstrap) that loads all classes etc required in certain circumstances i do believe u can load file using the php.ini but not that particuly for shared hosts i suppose

| Member Level 2 | you could create a globals.php file to store all your variables, then use the include command or require_once command on ur scripts
