Default Is there a PHP version of a globals.asx?

Good day all:

Using .NET I can place a file in the root directory of a site that will be called every time a page on the site is called - so it can contain site wide application variables. Is there something similar for PHP?

Thanks

some php define a constant, use an include file(bootstrap) that loads all classes etc required

in certain circumstances i do believe u can load file using the php.ini but not that particuly for shared hosts i suppose

you could create a globals.php file to store all your variables, then use the include command or require_once command on ur scripts
