Autoamtic email - help

Hello, i am new to this forum, my good friend MadKad recommend it , i think is really cool.

Well, the problem i have, i need your help, please: i recently installed Osdate script, is a dating script.
The system/script sends an email when a new user signup to the site (of course the email is sended to the new user).
THe script also allows the user to send private messages (lik in forums) between them , and through the site.
What i want is that any user that had received a new PM (private message) receive an automatic email from the site.
HOw can i do this?, i am just learning PHP, but this is too much for me, so i´ll wait for an explained explanation of how to do it.

Well to be honest this wouldnt be that hard. Firstly i would check to see whether the additonal email is an option included in the site already likely it may well do. If not just a simple case of a small hack to the script to add a simple mail() command tagged onto the pm function.

Whatcha, i know that is not that hard, but i am a really newbie in all refered to code, so you please, can you tell me where is that "pm function" located or how it should looks like? Thanks for the info in your other post, that was very quickly.
