Is Java stronger language then PHP?

Java is a slow interpreted client side language.

PHP is a slow(comparred to Perl.. i dont really know) server side interpreted language.

*Java can be compiled to bytecode.

*I dont knwo about JSP.

Java is also used in Software Dvelopemt and PHP is using only in server side coding in website development.

Java is platform independent and PHP is not working on linux

1. They are both programming languages and they are both scripting languages, since they can both either be compiled into bytecode or interpreted.
2. Java is used (a little bit) for software dev. Php can be used for making web based software (a lot more than just "websites").
3. Php works on just about all OSs, including (believe it or not) Linux (as all the thousands of cheap web hosts will attest to.)

My Dear Friend,

PHP is not object oriented ....it's only scripting...not language...Java is used (widly) for software dev.

and if you want to run PHP on linux than you have to buy some third party services/tools ..

you can make admin part of website through PHP but you can't make Application Software using php...

so please dont compair php with JAVA.
