Default which editor for web database newbie?

Hi,

I'm just starting out in the world of web databases for my uni
project. I've used programming language editors before for VB (and C,
I think) that allow you to step through your code line by line and
monitor variables as the code executes. Is there a development
environment for PHP that allows you to do this?

Cheers

Dean

I don't use one, but just some advice.......
print statements work great for debugging.

Not sure if this is a DB question or a PHP question. Zend studio is
excellent, but not cheap. I use BBEDIT (OSX) because it is more general
purpose. For DB, if you are using MySQL, take a look at PHPMyadmin..
