| I have a query that's long and full of escaped chars and it refuses to work. So to simplify things, I tried this: $query = odbc_exec($cls_odbc->db_conn(), "INSERT INTO settings_data (setting, value) VALUES ('setting1', 'value1')") or die (odbc_errormsg()); And when I run it, I get this error: Warning: SQL error: [Microsoft][ODBC Microsoft Access Driver] Syntax error in INSERT INTO statement., SQL state 37000 in SQLExecDirect in c:\inetpub\wwwroot\dbase.php on line 95 [Microsoft][ODBC Microsoft Access Driver] Syntax error in INSERT INTO statement. Am I missing something? Surely that should work?!? I've only done DB stuff in ASP before so this is my first time in PHP doing this... Hope someone can shed some light... Plankmeister. | |||

| Pure genius! Thanks for that golden tip. It appears that 'setting' is a reserved word. A thousand thanks! I would never have thought of that! Plankmeister.
