| Hi all, I've been using PHP since mid version 3 but, due to being lazy and having an IT director to do it for me, I haven't done an install for the past couple of years. I recently decided to install it on a Windows machine at home. The install went without problem, and so did my "hello world" test script. The problems started after downloading a project from work. I'm being flooded with notices about undeclared variables. I tried editing the following line in php.ini but, after reloading the page and restart Apache, it didn't make a difference. error_reporting = E_COMPILE_ERROR|E_ERROR|E_CORE_ERROR By my reckoning, that should switch off "notices"? But it doesn't, any body any clues? Some extra info that may help: php.ini is in C:\php\php.ini Apache loadmodule points to C:\php\sapi\whateveritscalled.dll I also copied the php.ini file into here but with no luck. Thanks for any help, Nathan | |||

Either: (1) Copy it to %WINDIR%/php.ini (2) [better] Set the PHPRC environment variable to c:\php and restart. >Apache loadmodule points to C:\php\sapi\whateveritscalled.dll I also >copied the php.ini file into here but with no luck. Won't be read from there either ;-) Have a look in main/php_ini.c in the PHP source code for the logic it uses to find php.ini, in particular php_init_config(). -- Andy Hassall (andy@andyh.co.uk) icq(5747695) (http://www.andyh.co.uk) Space: disk usage analysis tool (http://www.andyhsoftware.co.uk/space)

Andy, Thankyou! I've (you've) got it working. Cheers, Nathan
