| I would like to create a PHP/MySQL page counter. I would like the embedded PHP script to be generic. I don't want to have to add some-type of unique identifier to each page I wish to count. This would be straight forward, if I can gain access to the address/filename of the file which is being parsed (contains the section of embedded PHP). Therefore, can and how, does a section of embedded PHP gain access to both the address and filename of the file it is embedded within? I hope you can help. Thanks. Merr. | |||

| It's amazing what a good night's sleep can do. I managed to discover the answer to my question within five minutes, this morning. Either: $_SERVER['SCRIPT_FILENAME'] or $_SERVER["PATH_TRANSLATED"] will return the path and filename of the script.
