script to show html code

Let me consider this simple script

<?php
$hello=5;
echo "<center>$hello</center>";
?>

It gives me as html output this code:

<center>5</center>

I need a script which put on my screen

"This is html code of your page <center>5</center>"

$hello = 5;
$htmlneeded = '<center>'.$html.'</center>';
echo htmlentities($htmlneeded);

<? $hello="5"; ?>
This is html code of your page <center><? echo $hello; ?></center>

You save yourself lots of time and escaping if you embed HTML into PHP and
not vice versa.

Ahem... of course I ment vice versa...

Did I offend you? I did not even reply to your posting, I just posted an
alternative answer to the original question, with no comments about your
posting. If you feel offended by this I apologise.
