Default script to show html code

Let me consider this simple script

<?php
$hello=5;
echo "<p><center>$hello</center></p>";
?>

It gives me as html output this code:

<p><center>5</center>

I need a script which put on my screen

"This is html code of your page <p><center>5</center>"

Thanks
Andrea

$hello = 5;
$htmlneeded = '<p><center>'.$html.'</center></p>';
echo htmlentities($htmlneeded);

<? $hello="5"; ?>
This is html code of your page <p><center><? echo $hello; ?></center></p>

You save yourself lots of time and escaping if you embed HTML into PHP and
not vice versa.

<Doctype...>
<html>
<head>
<title><? echo $title; ?></title>
</head>
<body>
<HTML code><? PHP code ?><HTML code>
</body>

Did I offend you? I did not even reply to your posting, I just posted an
alternative answer to the original question, with no comments about your
posting. If you feel offended by this I apologise.

That did occur to me actually, but I thought it would be nicer not to mention
