| Hi! I've some strange problems here: test1.php: <?php echo "the variable abc contains $abc\n"; ?> I call it with http://domain.tld/test1.php?abc=1 No error occurs but the variable's content isn't shown. test2.php <?php $location=$PHP_SELF; echo "$location"; ?> I call it with http://domain.tld/test2.php No error occurs but also, there's no output. In both cases it seems like the variables aren't defined at all. Neither the parameter value is recognized nor the internal variable $PHP_SELF seems to have any assigned value. <?php phpinfo() ?> works and doesn't produce any obviously uncommon output. Also, on the same server some predefined scripts (such as a weblog and a forum) run very well. I really don't get the point what's going wrong here. Could it be some kind of misconfiguration? Or did I miss something important? I have to admit that I'm not very experienced in PHP. Maybe some kind soul can point me into the right direction. Regards, Ralf | |||

Yes, but in this case the result is also 'empty' (ie not defined). And what about $PHP_SELF? Ralf | |||
