Default PHP default header information

I am looking to redo my site using the XHTML specification. From
what I under stand the appropriate MIME type to be sent
to the browser is suppose to be text/xml+xhtml ? what does
PHP send to the browser for an MIME type? and how would
I alter this to make my site complient with the specificaion?

Check php.ini for this entry and modify as needed:

default_mimetype = "text/html"
