Default $PHP_SELF mail()

Im trying to make a contact form that doesn't require posting outside of the
page. So far I can't get it to work. I have started from basics and it's
only when I add the submit statement the the mail() function doesn't work.
Is it possible to do what I am trying?

As I say, I started from the beginning and this is where it stoped working

<?php
Global $submit;
If ($submit) {
mail("webmaster@*********.co.uk", $subject, $message);
}else{
?>
<form name="form" method="post" action="<?PHP echo $PHP_SELF
..'?pageid=contact'; ?>">
<p>Subject: <input type="text" name="subject"></p>
<p>Message: <textarea name="message"></textarea></p>
<input type="submit" name="Submit" value="Submit">
</form></html>
<?php
}
?>

MrMagooba say...

> $submit;

> <input type="submit" name="Submit"...

Assuming that the above code is indeed the one you are using, then the
problem I can see is that you have

<input type="submit" name="Submit">

- Submit is capatilised. So it would be $Submit and not $submit, or you
need to make name="submit"

remember variables are case sensitive. Obviously if it's just a typo when
rewriting the code for your post here, then I don't know off hand.
