Default SMTP for mail()

In the Professional PHP4 books from Wrox series, it do mention about setting
the SMTP to be used in UNIX.

For Windows, it only mention about the IIS. Since IIS come with a SMTP
server, so it can use it.

But I have a question, if I'm running with Apache. How should I install the
SMTP for use?

Just edit your php.ini. There's a section that configures the sendmail
emulation PHP does on windows.
