Default PHP: columnames with spaces in MySQL

Hello,

I am new to PHP and MySQL and so far everything went well thanks to the
postings on the page and the documentation on mysql.com and php.net.
However, no I bumped into a problem which I can't solve.
I am creating a webpage for a friend and I want to show records out of a
MySQL database using PHP. This friend made columnames with spaces like
'New Product'. Using mysql_fetch_object() it gives strange results at
these columns. print("<td>$record->New Product</td>") shows as a result
"Product". I checked the column names with mysql_field_name and it seems
to be with the space between 'New' and 'Product'. Does anybody know how
to fix this problem and get the databasevalue in stead of the part after
the space?

thanx,
****

Change the column names so they don't have spaces in.

There would be ways around it (e.g. aliasing every column to a different name
in every query), but really, it's more bother than it's worth.

I was afraid for this answer :-). Thanx, I'll tell him to change all his
queries. Anyway, in the end it's better to have the columnnames
without any spaces.

Default PHP: columnames with spaces in MySQL

use mysql_fetch_array() instead mysql_fetch_object()
