| I have a html form on a php script where users can upload images and images get uploaded like this: -rw------- 1 apache apache 67749 Jun 26 03:42 snooky9894.jpg The problem is these: 1. If user want to re-upload the file, he can't 2. If I want to FTP into the server and download it I can't 3. I can't FTP in and change permission on the file (have to SSH in as root to do it) Another html/php form where files looks like this: -rw-r--r-- 1 apache apache 1906498 Jun 29 02:13 1998.exe Here I can FTP in and download and backup files users upload... The problem is if I need to delete 1998.exe and then FTP up a new copy. When I FTP in I do it as user "monkey" and the file will be owned by "monkey" and if the original iser try to upload a new copy he can't since it will be uploaded from the form as apache ... So, my question is and what I want is: If a user upload a file on the server OR a php script create a file, it should always be owned by "monkey" something like: -rw-r--r-- 1 monkey monkey 1906498 Jun 29 02:13 1998.exe Or is there any other solution on this so all files created by scripts is owned by "monkey" ?? .... or what to do? and how to do it ? /Stefan | |||
