Please help me to stop search engines from accessing certain tags

How are you all?

I have one website that I want to stop google bot from accessing my <blockquote> tag because blockquote mostly contain duplicate content. Please suggest me if it is possible to do so?.

I don't think that would be possible except for using an iframe with nofollow.

What type of page are you using this on?

If its a basic website I suggest creating a seperate page for the blockquote and then on that page do the no follow tags in the meta header. use php include to put the text into your real content page.

If this is for a blog... which I am guessing it is. This will probably not work, at least I don't know how to do it. I suggest simply breaking up the content and don't copy TOO much information at once. Maybe break it down and anyalyze the text, then add some more.
