| Female Delegate ![]() | Hi guys! I'm probably boring the **** out of you all, but I got another question, lol I'm starting to make my own website (my second one ever) and don't want it to look as crappy as my first one did It's gonna be a personal blog, so it doesn't really need to look professional okay, then here the question: I want to have a background, wich stands 'still' (even if you're scrolling) but I want a page on top of it, wich DOES scroll, with the text and bla bla on it. But I want to see, like..15% of the background on each side of that other 'background'.. how do I code that? (in HTML, obviously an example: this livejournal... you see? the boxes are movind up and down, but the background stands still. Someone who can help me? please? Love, Min

| MK PitStop Member | Hi Minxy, If I have understood you it sounds like you want a similar effect to what I have done with my portfolio site. The bg is done in CSS- Code:
http://www.htmlhelp.com/reference/cs...ckground-image <edit>one great thing about CSS is that you can actualy have two backgrounds, one via the body and you can also do the same with the html- Code:
hope this is helpful Last edited by paranoidandroid : 03-15-2006 at 11:51 PM. | ||
