Default one simple question

I am making a database for both internet and intranet... The number of users are guessed to be around 1000 to 1500...
What I like to know is which database should I use... Access is simple but I heared it has no good security....
And SQL or Oracle.. I am confused between these..

Which one is less cost but good enough in terms of security for those users...

Thanks for your time

As far as i know,SQL sever is much better for your case. But u still need to learn some sql sentences to maintain good operation and management.Oracle can also work, but seems much more complex than SQL.

IMO, Oracle sucks. That's just me though. I use SQL all day at work, and Oracle a few nights a week at school, and I hate it! But then again, we're running Oracle on Microsoft machines... If you're running a Linux/Unix machine, then Oracle will do much better.
