INSERT QUERY WEIGHT

Hi I would like to know if there is a limit in mysql to the weight of an
insert query, I mean which size of data can I insert in my table at the
same time?

Yes, there is a practical limit. But the limit might be much higher
than what you require for your data inserts.

The INSERT statement in MySQL supports syntax to insert multiple rows in
one statement. Sometimes the entire contents of a table can be inserted
in a single INSERT statement.

I can't find documentation about a limit to the amount of data that can
be inserted, but consider this: When inserting, MySQL uses a cache to
help speed up bulk inserts. The default size of the cache is 8MB, and
can be increased. So the software is designed to handle bulk inserts
that potentially might be many times larger than this amount.

Can you tell us how large your data can be? Perhaps the answer will be,
"MySQL's limit is much higher than that."
