Default Is this a bug with week function?

Hi all
Mysql version 5.0.15

Select week('2005-10-25',2) returns 43 this is incorrect should be 44
Select week('2006-10-25',2) returns 43 which is correct

yearweek returns same values

Why is it incorrect?

The first week of 2005 containing a Sunday starts on 1/2, which would be week 1.
The first week of 2006 containing a Sunday starts on 1/1, which would also be
week 1.

In either case, 10-25 would be 42 weeks later.

You are right...guess it depends on which methodology you use as to what
qualifies as a week. The 2 other applications I was referencing used a
different method.
