| I trying the following small test but it won't work with the correct user: In Access a table is linked with the database on a mysql server using the myodbc driver. The connection description in access is: "ODBC;DATABASE=test;DESCRIPTION=loginAsMiguel;DSN= _myodbc_test2;OPTION=526340;PORT=0;SERVER=linux;UI D=miguel;TABLE=tabel1" A linux (SuSE v9.0) is running MySql (v4.0.15) with some log files. My WinXP is running the MySqlAdministrator (v1.0.19). (I made a small database test.table1 on the mysql.) The myodbc driver v3.51 is working well. Pressing the 'Test' button of the driver, I can see in MySqlAdministrator that user 'miguel' has logged in on the mysql database. But Access is always connecting as user 'Admin'. I tried to modify the table description by adding 'UID=miguel' but it still logging in as 'Admin'. What do I do wrong ? The server log file shows also: "Connect Admin@mywinxp as anonymous on test" Using mysql as root, it says: " mysql> select host, user from mysql.user; +---------------------+--------+ | host | user | +---------------------+--------+ | | | | | miguel | | 192.168.% | root | | localhost | | | localhost | miguel | | localhost | root | | linux | | | linux | miguel | | linux | root | | mywinxp | miguel | | mywinxp | root | +---------------------+--------+ 11 rows in set (0.00 sec) " Thanks, Miguel | |||
