Default Joining three tables?

Hi!

Right now I have three tables that contain stuff for showing news titles
on my site.

those are doc2docview, document and documentpart. The doc2docview
assigns a certain document to a certain documentview, the documentpart
table contains all images for documents.

This is my current (non-working) query. I try to get the titles and
document ID's from all documents that are assigned to documentview 55.
(via the reference field), AND get the filenames of the document's
images with a refcode 5050.

SELECT doc2docview.owner as owner,
document.ID as did,
documentpart.filename as filename,
document.summary as summary,
document.source as source,
document.title as title
FROM doc2docview, document, documentpart
WHERE reference = '55'
AND
document.ID = owner
AND
document.status = 'A'
AND
documentpart.document = did
AND
documentpart.refcode = '5050'
ORDER BY ctime DESC
LIMIT 5

I'm pretty sure I should do some joining, but haven't been able to make
that happen either.

Thanks for any help

Aapo V, Finland

Default Joining three tables?

You have to have some relation between the three tabels, then you can join
them

WHERE table1.id = table2.idtable1 and table1.id = table3.idtable1 .....

Hopes this helps
