Quiet newsgroup for such a popular product

I'm quite surprised at the lack of posts to this newsgroup. I realise
that this is a relatively new newsgroup, but still, mysql is extensively
used by many many people.

Do you think that the reason this newsgroup isn't used much is because
people don't know about it yet?

I think you are right.
But maybe you know the answer to this one.
I want to save a BLOB field in my database
I do it with an INSERT INTO with LOAD FILE, I understand that the file must
be on the server, But how do I do that when an replication slave wants to
replicate, it doens't find the File.
?????

I'm not sure, but I think this is not the official newsgroup for mysql.
The main support must be on the mailing list of mysql.
