Error starting mysql service

hello !

I don't know why but since a few days I get an error when starting the mysql
service on WINDOWS 2000. The error number is 3 that is to say that it
doesn't find the executable file's path. I searched into the registry but I
cannot find anything. Where is the pathname stored ???

Go to your system icon in your control panel and double click on that.
Go under the advnaced tab and you should find a Environment Variables
button. Click on that and you should find your path statment there.
