Default Newbie CSS Problem

I'm new to using CSS and would like to know how to do the following.

In my .css file, I have a link tag defined, a:link{color:red:} and it works
as I expected it to. Now, my problem is that I have "one" anchor, I want to
use a:link {color:yellow;}

What do I need to do?

Thanks....s

(I hope that's a typo and you had a semicolon instead of a colon after
"red").

This sounds like a good opportunity to learn about classes:

<style type="text/css">
a:link{color:red;}
a.yellowlink:link {color:yellow;}
</style>
</head>
<body>
two link <a href="bo.com">test two</a>
one link <a class='yellowlink' href="ge.com">test one</a>
</body>

Check Section "1. Hyperlinks" here:

Thanks, Mike..

Your response was just what I was looking for...

Is there a more active css newsgroup? I see it took 6 day for a response and
it looks like you are the ONLY persons responding... But, I do appreciate
your help...

Bruce

Sorry, I don't check in very often, this group is a lot more active:

comp.infosystems.www.authoring.stylesheets

Cheers,
