Default CSS vs Tables :P

CSS will obviously win! Anyway, do you still use tables when designing your site? CSS is actually a better choice for designing. It's also more spider-friendly. Why? It's because of CSS's compact nature. Web pages designed using CSS will have a higher content to code ratio. On the other hand, if you use tables, your content to code ratio will drop. Spiders love content, so I support CSS!

What about you?

Personally, I've ditched tables and now always code my sites using xHTML/CSS. Like you said, it has a much higher 'content to code' ration, it gets indexed quicker/better on search engines due to the code and it makes for much prettier designs and flexability.

It's also really easy to understand and program.

I use tables and CSS the reson I use tables still is because I set the page up to be read by search engine spiders better, I use it only for SEO reasons.

Yes, and if you messed up with your design and decide to change the layout drastically, you'll be scratching your head when modifying your tables code It's easier to change layouts if CSS was implemented into the website. Tables requires very close attention when manipulating them.

Default CSS 'vs' Tables!

Hello,
I'm new here. I would like to say that tables have there uses and CSS design has its uses. I prefer css but if I must with some projects, use tables, then I do.
I have a vacation rentals website that uses both.
Check it out and tell me what you think!.----> Vacation Rentals

Actually tables are very difficult and you have to care always like a programmer and you feel this when you have no time and you want to do your work fast but you can't.
