| Member Level 1 | ASP.NET is many times better than ASP even though ASP is a good web programming platform. ASP.NET uses ADO.NET whereas ASP uses ADO. ADO.NET has several advantages over ADO. First of all, ADO.NET is a disconnected architecture that is very useful in web scenarios. By disconnected architecture I mean no connection is maintained between the client and the server. This is perfect for web. ASP is not much used nowadays. Some companies opt for ASP, but ASP.NET is most popular today. | ||
