| Member Level 3 | How important do you think the end of a domain name is to porential readers? .com is always the one people go for. Do you think any less of a site if it has a .net or .co.uk extension for example? Are there any other pros and cons of the different extensions? For example I do worry that the US market (which makes up a massive part of the online community) would be less likely to visit your site if it had a .co.uk extension which gives a large disadvantage to anyone using one. | ||

| Member Level 3 | Personally I prefer .net because it looks nicer. But when I am searching for some kind of product for my car or something im more likely to go to a site with a .au ending as I know its in Australia, sites without the country code on the URL are a bit iffy because you arent sure where they are from. | ||

| Member Level 3 | That's a fair point Apocalypsse. If I'm looking to spend money online I would be much more likely to choose a local company with a .co.uk. I think non commercial sites are better off with .com though (even though it's supposed to stand for Company). | ||
