| MK PitStop Member | Hey Everyone, I am currently working on a project and we are looking to get something like this: People can register their own emailadres, which is like blablabla@dikkop.com. We currently have the domain dikkop.com. Also we would like them to be able to login through our site to check their inbox! Is something like this do-able and if yes, how? Thanks in advance, Klaas Koopman

| Back Office Guy- ![]() | Okay can u just clarify what you want to do. You want to be able to offer ppl an dikkop.com email adddress automatically, upon say registeration or other. You then want them to be able to access the email account via a weblogin, for reading, sending, storing. Is this do able Yes it is. How With a degree of difficulty, and rather lot of setup i would imagine Never done it myself but the first option i say is check with your host about mailing options, some may have a facility to offer it it. I will see if i can find any scripts for you but for such a complex script i donnt think u would get a decent free one, really do think the best route would be going done your hosting setting see whether they offer something like that

| Member Level 2 | Howdy, The automatic registration part makes it a little more difficult.. giving people a method of just checking their mail is quite a bit easier.. First... where do you host the domain? With most web hosts you won't be able to setup things like automatic registration and in some cases even your own webmail front-end... You'll need to practically have your own server for the automatic registration... or be able to pull a few strings... Checking mail can sometimes be done by pointing the webmail client at the pop3 server and having it done tha way... Another problem with the automatic creation if you have a web host is that you have funky GUI access to creating mail accounts for your domains... not access to the command line to add them. That being said there are a couple great webmail packages. NeoMail is fairly basic and easy to get going (http://neocodesolutions.com/software/neomail/) SquirrelMail is very popular (http://www.squirrelmail.org/) This one is nice because as long as your host has imap and smtp it'll function.. however you'll still have to create accounts manually if they have a cpanel like interface Horde is extremely nice... It's an all in one.. if you've used Outlook Web Access think that.. Calendaring, Tasks, Email and everything (http://www.horde.org/) | ||
