| Rene, re: What types of advertising are working for your business? I am ready to find something that truly works in this online world. Many thanks. Aloha When you say "working" what do you mean? Because ad programs, like shoes, are normally not one size fits all. Your mission, persona, availability of time, technological advantages, salesmanship, pricing, market trends, and online strategy and much more can all make or break your program. If a company is not working with your product, your market, with your level if commitment to time and detail, and with your budget, then using them to decide your ad program is probably going to be an exercise in futility. Then too, if your website is structured differently, even with the same product, they (or you) could be a lot more successful based on how well you communicate with your market. If you're selling sal****er to ocean fisherman or ice to the eskimos, it won't matter the details, it's a no-go. So why don't you tell us what you're trying to market and how, so that the feedback will be more relevant to your particular circumstance? I could give you some stats, but they could give you a false sense of security, so let's start with your product and what makes you think people will buy? ~Zion | |||

Many thanks. Aloha Say, how do you define working? Every type of advertisement works in some way, even autosurf or traffic exchanges program. | |||

Many thanks. Aloha depends on what you're selling and what you're trying to do. I'm divided on even a very small part of what I'm selling. One side: for all I know I'm the only person on the internet who has gardenia taitensis seeds available (as a source). As I don't have time to deal with a lot of small orders I really have no problem with who sells those on Ebay for what or what the broker I work with makes in overheads. Per time I make more money selling 200 here or 1000 there than trying to sell 10 or 25 at a time. I don't particularly care how much I make per seed, I care how much I make per time interval. I know where to get them. I don't think have run short in the last 3-5 years. Other side: I sell Job's Tears seeds. whether I sell a pound myself or sell it to the same broker usually doesn't save me any time but gets me 50% less. Here in Hawaii Job's Tears are mostly a winter crop when days are short and those of us who have full time jobs have little extra time left in winter. I could probably do with another 15-20 lb this year, and it's June. - I can find some in June, but January would have been much easier if here was longer daylight. - What are you selling, and how much/many of it? How localized are you? Even selling stuff online isn't a one size fits all.
