| Hi, I am currently looking at setting up a regular newsletter to send to my client list. It will be a HTML newsletter and it will obviously need an opt-out link for clients to unsubscribe from the newsletter. At some point in the future, I will probably want to use the same package to do customised mailing based on clients previous purchases. What are the main/best software packages available that are available to achieve this? Thanks Grebo | |||

What are the main/best software > packages available that are available to achieve this? > We use several, depending on the client. If you need a simple, hands off system that provides a web interface I suggest http://www.ConstantContact.com Easy to use, easy to grow, anyone can use it, has all the bells and whistles you need. You pay a monthly fee, and the fee increases as your list grows. If your a doit yourself type person I suggest Sell Wide Follow Up Mailing List Processor. http://www.sellwide.com/follow_up_ma...rocessor.shtml You have to install it on your server and configure the mail server info. I believe you can get a free trial download to make sure you can use it. There is a one time cost ( I believe in the $49 range) and they are very helpful if you need support getting it up and running. I'm sure there are many, many other programs out there, but these are the ones I use with my clients. Volume discounts. 2. http://www.verticalresponse.com - Pay per message, starting at $0.15 per message. Volume discounts 3. http://www.slgt.ws - Express Email Marketing - Pay Per message, starting at $0.04 per message. Volume discounts. All three have great tools for managing opt-in/opt-out, creating surveys, importing/exporting contacts, etc. I prefer http://www.slgt.ws, of course. It's mine... Sign up as a customer, and I'll get you some good deals on e-mail client software to go with it... Joe E. | |||

| I saw two sites recently, one is Emma at www.myemma.com which seems pretty inexpensive and right to the point. The other site is www.viralcommunique.com Both seems fun. Emma would be my first pic. Good luck going forward.
