| Min. 2350... I would think so... stock quality matters a lot. Acceptable DPI... They usually stand behind their machines... Google up the heading "your town name" with "we use a minolta 2350" or "we use a minolta majicolor 2350" and "your phone area code" Use quotes. Example: "new york" "we use a minolta 2350" 316 The business pages will come up on google, Then I would pick the closest... call them and ask if I could swing by for a few samples and bring a cold drink. Tell 'em I'm about to buy one, just don't want any problems. That way you have a actual sample from the field instead of a manufacturers production. You are probably considering the optional automatic duplexer for two-sided printing as well as the optional 500-sheet lower input feeder right? Good idea because a 200 card sample seems awful LOW to me... your variant will only be about 2-4 sales... LOL... that's so low the day of week or even rain can skew up your facts. ....Way too low for reliable testing, my friend. I would at least double or triple that, then break the whole batch into 4 drops maybe. Then I'd run another style at a 400 run, again splitting them in 4 parts, breaking them up again into 100 cards each. Then I'd make 4 drop dates per month @ 200 notes per, with 100 of each of my 2 styles. At months end I'd have dropped 800 notes @ 400 per. I'd then compare. Still razor thin stats... but enough to intuit I suppose. Anyway, I'd hope to get ten good meetings maybe per week from each drop, writing contracts on the best 5. .Keep 5 and sell 5 to my buddy I guess. But that's enough to keep you busy... Going it alone theres only so many clients you can eat. Next month I would try my next designs... etc. Post your website... someone may need some work done soon... ~zion~ | |||
