Looking for mailing list

Hi,

Can anyone recommend a source for a mailing lists? I'm looking for marketing
management people in a section of NC.

There are lists compiled in various places...some of which are free, using your
public library. I can't quite remember what the database is called, but it is
broken down by demographic data. I think it was collected from the census or
IRS, or something. It becomes available through the Freedom of Information Act,
I believe. I remember looking at the data. It may be broken down by a good
number of variables (household income, gender, etc.)

Companies can subscribe to the database for a hefty fee (hefty compared to
free...or a little leg-work in your library). The libraries have foundations
which pay for them, providing free access to resourceful ladies and gents.

I would recommend building your own. You can always "feed" it information from
other sources...but a database (mailing list) is only as good as the data it
contains, so I strongly recommend you take steps to scrub the data.
