| Here in Lake county Florida, inadiquate distribution of phone books is becoming problem, at least in my oppinion. When you pay good money for an ad you hate to see the advertizement not being delivered as promised. I have made phone calls to the phone company about phone books not being delivered they always say that there is no known problem in the distribution, and yet customers have called the phone company to request books thay never got, the phone company does not deliver, and still claims that there is no problem. Now there's another phone book company distributing phone books, and they seem to be even wors at it. And a third phone book company to come. So there will be 3 different phone books in the area, at least for those people that get the books proberly delivered. I guess with advertizement mailed by US mail, there is tracking by the post office showing what was delivered. And then there are many other forms of delivery of advertizement, such as radio, TV, and such. What are your comments on getting adiquate delivery of advertizement? Wayne Sallee | |||

Not that I'm aware of, unless you send return receipt which gets expensive. Where I used to live, in a condominium complex, enough people had told the mailman that they didn't want the weekly bulk email from Advo with glossy pizza and supermarket flyers that he just left the stack of them off to the side for anyone to pick them up and didn't put them in the individual mailboxes as is really required. So there is no tracking really. -- McWebber "Richter points to the lack of legal action against his company as proof that he's operating appropriately." Information Week, November 10, 2003

So there is no tracking really lol that's interesting. Reminds me of a post that was posted on rec.aquaria.marine.reefs It goes as follows: <<< You all might appreciate this tale of woe. I work for a company where we accept a large number of UPS packages. We kept missing/losing deliveries and when we traced them, the log showed they were signed for by "ITR." After numerous complaints and claims, UPS finally called the driver in. She explained that she was given WAY too many packages to deliver and, at the end of the day, she would pull her truck up to the good ol' Missouri and toss whatever remained in the truck. ITR = In The River. True story. She lost her job, we got a new delivery person on the route and things are much better now. >>> The above was posted by someone on rec.aquaria.marine.reefs Wayne Sallee http://members.aol.com/waynesallee/weblink.htm
