| Hi, I am interested in creating a marketing flyer for to hand out to people. I have a small computer consulting bussiness. What books do I need to read, websites and groups and forums to help me to learn how to create a marketing flyer. I have never done this before, I want something I can go out in person with to hand out to small bussinesses. Thanks Mike | |||

What services do you offer and are the benefits you provide to your customers? Can you put together a rough-rough draft and post it someplace? Even if it is all text. Then post the URL here. (This group does not accept binaries or HTML, but you can post text here.) Mike

Thanks Mike Okies, sound like a friend, read some _GOOD ADVERTS_, perhaps of something you bought based upon the advert ![]() I can sell ya an book which explains how to write good advertisements(and actually works), i've got resell rights, but not allowed to give out for free (if not bonus to something else, but not completely free) anyways, this is one of what i've been using: this is barely legal!! it will make you so addicted that someday there will be law against this amazing service.... see http://www.paradox-online.net/?r=1 HINT: index page doesn't give the full truth, signup and see yourself what i mean... (i use that on IRC, barely legal makes them expect something else, not very good if you want something else than just visit there) i haven't used this myself yet, just came up with this imaginatory service: FROM: bob SUBJ: i've got an great story for you TEXT: Wow! This guy made 9,567$ in past 6 months with an little trick, he combined something to which every marketeer seeks the answer... "I combined two very simple things, couple days of hard work and made 9,567$ last 6months! It is so simple, that everyone can do it." Caption of the story See the full story at http://www.fakeurl.com/story.htm HINT: it really is amazing and not what you would think it is... - Bob ok, that second one should be working kinda good Writing ads is an art form, and you need to be in correct mind state to write a good ad just reply if you want the book and remember, good marketeers always makes tests to their adverts! ^^ - Aleksi

It wont attract the kind of people desired and will be overlooked by those who are interested in online games of that genre. > i haven't used this myself yet, just came up with this imaginatory > service: > > FROM: bob > SUBJ: i've got an great story for you > TEXT: > > Wow! Spelling, grammar, and pitch are wrong. Good marketing begins with a decent presentation. And believability must be maintained. If an advertisement looks like it was written by someone too lazy to check their work, or barely literate, it will be disregarded at best. Claims of fabulous returns for little effort just don't work - unless the person's IQ is below room temperature or they're insanely desperate. > just reply if you want the book There are plenty of good marketing and advertising books where the author isn't a secret and the contents have been reviewed. For example, anything by Harry Beckwith is worth a read. > and remember, good marketeers always makes tests to their adverts! ^^ Good advice on that point.

Keep it simple, too. The reader needs to get the gist of your business in 10-20 seconds, max. You'll need to spend some money on a nice 2-color or 4-color piece, too...a photocopy or something that looks like it will say "takes shortcuts." Dave
