Contact Channels

I'm having problems defining/name a contact channel and need some help.
There are the standard channels of:

Direct Mail
Email
Telemarketing

But what is it called when a sales associate verbally engages the customer
in an attempt to sell? Up Sell? Personal Contact?

Make one up yourself, that's what most marketing companies do!
