Hello members I am sorry If I posted this in wrong section but I really need help What's everyone's favorite FTP program? I'm pretty sick of SmartFTP and am looking for alternatives. Thanks | ||

i was using COREFTP for a long time it was good and basic for my needs only annoying thing was the nag screen at the start. However i did get a free copy of WS_FTP home which is considered a very good FTP program, and which i now use when i remember that i have it. I use filezilla and like it  I didnt use any at first and just went through IE but found filezilla better and more easyier | ||

I have used a few including FileZilla that mk suggested. If you want free go with FileZilla its good. Or else go with TurboFTP i used it myself. | ||

I personally prefer Smart FTP, for the simple fact that it provides a fast and simple interface and is pretty smart about keeping things up and running, on the downside the system has a notorious habit of leaving have transfers that can only be deleted through other FTP programs, or server side. | ||

FlashFXP is one of the best out there, i have a "trial" version  ... but its amazingly easy to configure, it has a drag and drop feature, makes it completely idiot proof, has tons of cool features, like idle timers, shutdown timers, automatic download timers, even has a feature in which you can download any updates to any ammount of ftp servers if anything changes on it... pretty solid program  2 thumbs way way up ^ lol  | ||

Filezilla is fine but i have faced some problems while using it whereas WS_FTP is best ever i used. | ||
