Choosing hosting provider

Which hosting do you use? What is most important for you about hosting?

In your eyes, is it a serious advantage for an affiliate program, if it offers free hosting to all of the partners?

We've been with www.Intermedia.Net for quite some time, and never had any difficulty sorting out and handling issues. Their uptime has been great, and the customer service support excellent.

For me it's about control and without the maintenance (of a dedicated server). We are a hosting reseller, so I use hosting companies that have gracious reselling packages. This allows for me to have an unlimited number of sites on my shared account.

I develop in PHP and MySQL, so a server with these softwares are a must. 100% support is my number one must. I only work with hosting providers who are serious about their business and who respond well to my inquiries when I have them.

Don't get me wrong... I'm all about dedicated servers, but I just don't have the time to maintain one on my own.

If you're looking to host multiple sites, it's good to sign up with a reputable hosting company and probably do a reseller plan. You can also make your money back on hosting by sub-ing space out to others.

If not, find a good company who you can google to find good reputation.

We charge around $7/month for personal sites, and around $10/month for business sites who already have their pages developed. Not trying to tell you this to get a sale, but just giving you a ballpark figure to expect to pay and hopefully help you watch out for the gougers. We picked up a business client who was paying $99 per month and was receiving not even half of what we offer. I feel good about helping my client save money, and give them great service.

Just do some good research before you jump in. I've seen some and have been dragged into some nightmares.

I'll tell you the name of the company I use if you're ever looking for a good reseller program. I know a couple.

Each year, they will offer me new freebies for being a loyal customer. Just love these freebies.. i don't have to pay for them.

Of course, i am a long time loyal customer . That explain why.
