The thing is he used just the one domain, which made it easily noticeable. When you see 5 billion pages indexed for a single domain it raises suspicion. Had he used several domains he would have been able to stay under the radar, and would just be rolling in the Adsense money!
I think it got a little out of hand - he didn't expect GOogle to index so many pages I dont think.

In some ways, MSN search is really a bit of a consortium with yahoo etc, afterall, they use the same advertisements. I mean, if you place an ad on msn, you are sent to yahoo to place it, its then visible on more than the 2 of them.
Really in this case you could group them together before comparing with google.
It could be an (almost) instant hit, a site with search results accumulated from all the other players.

It seems to be a lot easier to get your pages ranking well in msn and yahoo compared to google. This means webmasters have more control over what results people get. What's best for webmasters is not necessarily best for the searcher. This shows that google has greater control over it's results and should in theory produce more relevant results, less tarnished by greedy webmaster tactics. But as has been said, MS have been spedning a lot of money so who knows what they have up their sleeve.

That is very true, I also think that google do index and rank high some vary page sites, not saying msn doesnt but google cant always be great.

For the most popular keywords, its virtually impossible for any search engine to provide a good service. For example the keywords 'make money' returns hundreds of millions of results, it would be naive to assume that either Google or MSN or Yahoo have provided the "best 10". There are likely to be thousands of good sites and good opportunities using various methods, but not all will suit the searchers tastes and therefor are not so relevant to that particular person. Their prime site might be the 19,342nd one but lets face it, they are not going to look past page 1 or 2 in reality. Its simply not possible to provide the best 10 unless the result of the query is seriously unique and given the number of sites worldwide, thats just not very likely.

microsoft already invloved in almost every area of working in softwares, they didnt even look for the quality when the launch the product. they only copy what their competitors are doing, but as for as the performace is concerned, their products are much more advance in running than other, and offcourse very user friendly too.
