Default Problems with video downloads and viewing

I am unable to view videos properly on most websites. The videos will
download a portion, then play that part, stop and download another portion,
play that part etc., until the end of the video. This problem makes it
impossible to view the videos continuously from start to finish. I think
this has something to do with the buffering on my computer, but I do not know
how or if it can be changed. Also, I was informed recently that the
connection I have at home thru Verizon DSL is "on the end of the line".

Can this situation be corrected? Do the connection I have effect the
downloading of videos?
Please help... D.J.

It seems that you are stranded at distant shore.
I can not see any connection of your video problem with Windows
Desktop Search.

Pls check the list of Newgroups. It could be that "Windows Media
Player" or something alike might fit.
